Experienced Team Leader Position

The Position(s)

  • Leads an installation Team through the complete construction process.
  • Manages the Team, including handling personnel issues on site and training.
  • Coordinates with Management to plan and organize a job, ensuring that necessary resources and materials are available to complete daily tasks. Ensures that the job is completed in the most time-efficient manner and within project deadlines.
  • Reads landscape plans, job planner, project goals, & implements construction plan.
  • Routinely interacts with clients via introductions, answering questions, etc. Fosters excellence in customer service
  • Completes job tracking (time, change orders, etc.).
  • Operates various tools and equipment (skid steers, mini-excavator, etc.).
  • Trains team members in equipment operations
  • Enforces and works in accordance with industry safety standards at the shop and on job sites.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of prior experience in a landscape/hardscape design-build or relevant construction company.
  • We are willing to train a highly qualified managerial candidate without experience in the landscape field. Must be able to quickly learn technical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, understand grades and pitch, and prepare sites.
  • Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools, and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices.
  • Good job planning, time-management, and record keeping skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills (i.e. customer relations, active relationship with management, composes well-written emails).
  • Great math skills. Mechanical skill is a must.
  • Valid driver’s license, a CDL and Hoisting Licenses a plus.
  • Snow removal and plowing experience.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs repeatedly throughout the entire work shift. Excellent stamina is required.
  • Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold.

Junior Foreman / Landscape Technician Positions

The Position

  • Follows direction from Team leader.
  • Assists the Team Leader in interacting with clients in a polite and courteous manner.
  • Reads landscape plans, reviews with Team leader implements the field plan.
  • Installs hardscapes (walls, patios, walkways, outdoor kitchens, fire pits, etc.), plantings, lighting, and some irrigation.
  • Moves and transports materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, and manual lifting.
  • Operates various tools and equipment (skid steers, mini-excavator, vehicles, and trailers, etc.).
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment, on-site, shop and with equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

    • 1-3 years’ experience in landscape/construction.
    • Ability to read blueprints, review plans with Team Leader, implement a field plan.
    • Assists the Team Leader in planning and organizing projects and completing them in a time-efficient manner.
    • Basic measurement and calculation skills.
    • Excellent observation skills and strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to work with hand tools, small engine equipment, and materials.
    • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs repeatedly throughout the entire work shift. Excellent stamina is required.
    • Ability to work both independently with little supervision and as a part of a Team.
    • Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold.
    • A great attitude and the ability to work as a member of the Team is a must.
    • Snow removal and plowing experience.
    • Valid driver’s license, a CDL and Hoisting Licenses a plus.
